Paddle With Me "kayaking"

Our First Kayaking Adventure We finally tried kayaking at the yacht club near our house—and immediately became experts at worrying. The kayak looked stable… until we imagined tipping over like two confused coconuts. Bonus: neither of us can swim. First dilemma: who sits in front? After a dramatic rock-paper-scissors battle, you won. I stayed safely behind. Pushing off, we wobbled, paddled out of sync, and our friends shouted, “Paddle together!” Slowly, we got the hang of it. The water shimmered, the breeze was perfect, and our fear melted into laughter. Halfway through, we just let the kayak drift and laughed at how ridiculous we must have looked. Our first kayaking adventure was awkward, wobbly, and hilarious—but a total success. We can’t wait to do it again.

Tubing at Helen

We decided to try tubing at Helen, and from the moment we got our tubes, we knew this was going to be ridiculous… in the best way possible. Inflating the tubes was harder than it looked. We huffed, puffed, and somehow managed not to fly across the parking lot like two human balloons. Once we finally got on the river, the real fun began. The current was faster than we expected, and we bounced, spun, and occasionally collided with each other—laughing so hard we probably scared a few ducks. Every turn brought a surprise splash, and holding on became a test of both balance and bravery. Halfway through, we realised tubing is basically floating chaos with a view. The mountains, trees, and clear water made it feel like we were in a movie… a very wet, hilarious movie. By the time we reached the end, we were soaked, exhausted, and grinning from ear to ear. Tubing in Helen was messy, wild, and one of the funniest first-time adventures we’ve ever had.
